Gov. Tina Kotek's description of Oregon Senate Republicans as disrespectful is an excellent illustration of the old idiom 'the pot calling the kettle black,' (' Gov. Tina Kotek calls Senate Republicans ‘disrespectful' for refusing to meet with her in person to discuss walkout ,' May 22). The reason that the Republicans have pulled out of negotiations is fundamentally due to a lack of respect by Democrats. This is also why many Republican-leaning counties want to secede from Oregon and join Idaho.
