Oregon City football, led by first-year coach Aaron Skinner, is in the midst of its most promising season of the 21st century. The No. 7 Pioneers are 5-0 for the first time since 1996, when they finished 12-1 and lost in the state title game to Roseburg. It's just the fifth time in school history the program has reached such a mark, accomplishing the feat after overcoming a 17-0 first-half deficit to beat Tigard 28-24 last Friday to snap a five-year losing streak to the Tigers.
