After two years of waiting and preparing for his moment, Luke Basso's time has arrived: Oregon has a new long snapper. The third-year sophomore from Lake Oswego played in 10 games last season as the heir apparent for Karsten Battles, who held the starting job for five years. Now Basso, who grew up a Ducks fan and earned a six star rating and was named the No. 3 snapper in the class of 2021 by Rubio Long Snapping, is about to take the reins for a role he's been working towards since first getting into long snapping as a sophomore at Lakeridge High School.
