In what has become a tradition in the Oregon high school track and field scene, Lake Oswego's Mia Brahe-Pedersen took to the track at Hayward Field and left the crowd in awe. The junior finished the event with a new Oregon state record of 11.00 seconds. That beats her previous best of 11.08, which was set earlier in the year. 'I was that close to going sub-11. Which is, hey, I just know it's coming soon,' Brahe-Pedersen said. 'The fact that I was able to finish on top like I felt I was supposed to and then get a PR on top of that and do it with (Oregon City's Sophia Beckmon) beside me, that was just magical.
